Clema, Inc. ("Clema," "we," "us") builds active cooling wearables for industrial crews. This page explains what information we collect when you visit clemacooling.com, why we collect it, and how it's handled.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few limited ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you sign up for our newsletter, apply for early access, or book a call, we collect what you submit, typically your name, work email, phone number, company, role, and details about your crew or site.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard analytics data, pages visited, approximate location (city/region level), device and browser type, and referring site, through Google Analytics.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information through this site.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to early access applications, demo requests, and general inquiries
- Send the occasional product update to newsletter subscribers
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- Meet legal and security obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate site traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit. Newsletter and contact forms
Our newsletter signup, early access application, and scheduling forms are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, and route submissions to our email inbox. After you submit a form you are redirected to a confirmation page on this site; no additional information is collected there. If you submit a form, that information is used only to respond to your request or, for newsletter signups, to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by emailing us directly.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run this site:
- Google Analytics, for site traffic analytics
- Google Fonts, to load the typefaces used on this site
- Formspree, to process newsletter, early access, and contact form submissions
- Calendly, to power the scheduling widget on our Talk to the team page
- YouTube, for an embedded product video on our homepage
- Vercel, our website hosting provider
Each of these services may collect information governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with directly.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including relying on reputable, security-conscious third-party providers for hosting, form processing, and analytics. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from communications at any time by emailing us at the address below.
California residents
Clema is based in California. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from, to request a copy of it, to request that we correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a record of our relationship with you, and we delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for those purposes or when you ask us to. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
