How much does Clema cost?
Clema is a per-worker annual subscription with the hardware included; see the pricing page for the current rate. You reserve a unit from the first batch with a fully refundable $99 deposit, and the subscription does not start until your unit ships.
Is the pre-order deposit refundable?
Yes. The $99 deposit is fully refundable at any point before your unit ships. Email rica@clemacooling.com and the refund goes back to the original payment method.
When does the subscription start?
The day your unit ships, not the day you reserve. Clema emails you before the first subscription year begins, your $99 deposit comes off that first year, and you can cancel for a full refund instead.
When does the Clema cooling vest ship?
The first batch sold out. Reservations now hold a place in the limited 2027 deployment. We are not advertising a new ship date; the pre-order terms commit to shipping no later than July 31, 2027, and if we cannot ship by then you can cancel for a full refund. Reservations ship in the order the deposits were placed.
Can I reserve more than one unit for my crew?
Yes. Pricing is per worker, so a crew of five is five subscriptions. Up to nine can be reserved here. For ten or more, Clema sets it up directly so fit, sizing, and rollout can be planned with your safety lead. Apply for a fleet order.
What is included in the subscription?
The ClemaCore rig, four hot-swap batteries refreshed every year, a dual charger, and next-business-day replacement if a unit fails. Everything is covered for as long as the subscription is active. Full pricing detail.
What happens if the ship date slips?
Clema emails every reservation holder with the new date and the option to take a full deposit refund instead of waiting. Hardware timelines move, and you should not be stuck when they do.
How is Clema different from an ice or evaporative vest?
Ice vests melt in 60 to 90 minutes and need a freezer on site. Evaporative vests stop working when the air is already humid. Clema is solid-state, so it runs the full day on batteries and performs the same in wet heat. See all six vest types compared.
